EGEO
Egeo was designed in 1971 to light harbour
quays. In thick cast aluminium, with exposed
nuts and bolts, it’s anchored to the ground to
resist to waves, has an unusual shape compact,
squared, essential with its 45° luminous mouth.
It has been subject to meaningful functional
and construction modifications that do not
however modify the original design. Today Egeo
is in sturdy aluminium die-casting, with a spring
hook, practical and quick, which replaces nuts
and bolts. New LED technology allow significant
lighting performances. The initial charm of egeo
has remained unchanged and notwithstanding
the several imitations it remains a classic.
